Tricked it by changing the version in a file as read in forum and ended up reinstalling 14.04 from the beginning. I can't install Intel graphics driver as there is a version issue. It is not a monitor or cable problem as I tried connecting my Samsung monitor and nothing changed. So I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04 again. I also had problem with network Icon disappearing from the task bar once it get disconnected. So I lived with it for about a year.įunny but true, some times if I connect my android phone to the USB before stating the system it detects the right resolution 1366 X 768!Īfter updating to Ubuntu 15.04 I had problem with it. I have search many forums and did a lots of things but never got it to work at that resolution again unless I do xrandr add-mode. There after my ASUS VH192 monitor started on 1024 X 768 instead of 1366 X 768 It was all working fine about a year ago until one day I did update the system as it was always I do when ever the system prompt to do so. xserver- xorg-video- nouveau: xserver- xorg-video- nouveau 1:1.0.Ubuntu 14.04 with integrated Intel G41 graphics chip set (Gigabite GA 41M Combo Motherboard) xserver- xorg-video- intel: xserver- xorg-video- intel 2:2.20.9-0ubuntu2 xserver- xorg-video- ati: xserver- xorg-video- ati 1:6.99. xserver- xorg-input- evdev: xserver- xorg-input- evdev 1:2.7.3-0ubuntu2 xserver- xorg-core: xserver-xorg-core 2:1.13.0-0ubuntu6 libgl1- mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 9.0-0ubuntu1 libgl1- mesa-dri- experimental: libgl1- mesa-dri- experimental N/A libgl1- mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 9.0-0ubuntu1 asset.tag: Base Board Asset Tagĭmi.modalias: dmi:bvnPhoenixT echnologiesLtd.
